Early Childhood Center

The mission of the Grace United Community Ministries Early Childhood school is to provide developmentally appropriate opportunities to enhance the academic, social interaction, emotional and physical well-being of young children to reach their maximum potential, in an intentionally planned environment that fosters a sense of community and a life-long love of learning.

We believe that an essential goal of a child’s day at our early childhood/ preschool is a learning opportunity. The Grace United Community Ministries school day will incorporate opportunities for our young students to construct knowledge through exploration and interaction.

At the Grace United Community Ministries Early Childhood School we promise that every child will be known, cared for and valued. Research has established that 95 percent of the brain develops in the first five years of life, and children develop best in communities where they feel safe, happy and secure.

We will achieve our goals by fulfilling the following objectives:

1. Create an atmosphere of enthusiasm around vocabulary and reading for families with children ages 3 to 5 years old through workshops, literacy activities, and events.

2. Provide preschool with Imagine. Learn Grow. Early Literacy classroom kits and resources along with high-quality books to help build their home libraries.

3. Offer a culturally rich learning environment that will empower children to reach their highest potential.
